Timescales vary according to your schedule but it is never too soon to make the initial introductions. This free consultation is a great opportunity to get a full understanding of your project. Route A: We’ll look at any drawings you may have had done by your architect or work from measurements you provide. We’ll also explain the design process and installation procedure.
At Hunt Bespoke Kitchens & Interiors we support your project, big or small, from design to implementation, guiding you every step of the way.
Route B: Site survey may be carried out if there are no drawings or measurements supplied, to get a feel for surroundings, architectural influences and to take measurements.
Layouts & costings
Plan layouts, elevations and costings are prepared and and you are invited to a meeting in our Bloxham showroom.
Presentation of the proposed design takes place at our Bloxham showroom where revisions can be requested. An accurate quotation will be calculated once the design has been agreed.
Detailed drawings and colour elevations will be produced. We charge a £500 design fee and you get a full set of drawings to take away. The £500 is then deducted from the final invoice.
To secure your place in our schedule we work backwards from your desired completion date and earmark a manufacture and installation date. At which point we request a 25% reservation deposit. We keep in contact during the build up to installation so if other work on your project overruns, do not worry as we will reschedule accordingly.
Final detail meeting
Approximately six weeks prior to installation we ask you to spend a few hours attending a final detail meeting at our showroom where the specific details of cabinet styling, door furniture, worktops, colour and aesthetics are finalised.
Around the same time we visit the site and do a final pre-build measurement survey. With all the final information confirmed, the next 50% becomes payable and the order is passed from our design team to our workshop to be made.
Manufacture of your furniture commences at our dedicated, superbly equipped rural workshop located on the Oxfordshire-Northamptonshire border. If you wish, you are welcome to arrange a visit to see your furniture being created by our skilled craftsmen.
Project managing trades for the fit
Fits usually begin on a Monday when furniture is delivered and installed by our fitters to the highest possible standard. If your project is one that requires additional work – walls removing, plumbing, tiling, flooring and so on, we offer a project management service where we will coordinate all trades for you which improves communication and can reduce the opportunity for delay or error. If you like the sound of this, please ask us about it during your design meetings.
Fitting & installation
All our hand-built furniture is fitted by our own team of expert fitters and painters. We do not subcontract fit and finish, which means that our exacting quality standards are maintained throughout. We project manage the installation, making sure every item arrives on time and is beautifully fitted.
Once the installation is complete, we’ll meet with you for the final consultation. This is an opportunity to check every detail is exactly as you wanted and to wish you many happy years of enjoyment. Once signed off, the final balance 25% due.
